Sad Little Girl

Sad Little Girl - Spooky Voices Version

As Roland and his companions left the Abandoned Village,
they heard a faint crying when they got closer to the forest.
They sound came from a small dark lake inside the gloomy forest.
A sad little girl sat down at the side of the lake, all alone,
tears streaming down her cheeks into the cold water.

They all got off their horses, but when they got closer to the
lake where the girl was seen just a moment ago, she was gone.
The crying had stopped and not a single sound could be heard.
The forest was quite and still and a ghostly ill-boding silence
had suddenly replaced the previous bird twitter.

Then again, all of a sudden a new sound could be heard.
It was a sad complaining song, as from someone who had
just lost its loved ones in some unspeakable terrible deed.
The song did not sound far away, but at the same time,
it was impossible to judge from which direction it came.
It was as if the whole forest was mourning and weeping.

Roland looked at his companions, and they nodded in silence.
They sat up on their nervous horses, turned them around and
started to make their way out of this dark and cursed forest.
